For the visit to Laguardia, numbers are limited to 50 and places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis. A. Laguardia. This a mediaeval city in the region of La Rioja (Alavesa). There are a number of interesting prehistoric settlements in the surroundings. The visit will finish in one of the wine caves for a snack and a drink. B. San Sebastian. One of the celebrated summer resorts of the Bizcay bay, very different from those of the Mediterranean coast. A fine city in a exceptional settlement, where one can appreciate its character and style. A snack and coffee or tea will be served. C. Santillana del Mar. In spite of its name, it is no longer by the sea (Mar in Spanish) but is a fine medieval village with fortified towers and a Romanesque monastery. Nearby is the Altamira cave that, unfortunately, we cannot visit because of preservation regulations. This visit will end with typical local refreshments.
