Plenary Lectures will be supported by 20-25 minutes oral presentations and 2 poster sessions, with ample opportunities for further discussion.
Participants will receive a book of extended abstracts of all Symposium contributions. Further and up to date information about the conference, and the list of oral and poster communications, will be available in due course through the World-Wide-Web at http://www.vc.ehu.es/gaskin98
Two copies of the Extended Abstracts of the contributed papers, of a maximum of two pages in length including references and figures, ought to be mailed to "The Secretary, 15th International Symposium on Gas Kinetics, Universidad del País Vasco. Depart. Química Física. Apart. 644, 48080 Bilbao, Spain" in the following format:
- use European A4 size sheets (21 x 29.7 cm), 2.5 cm (one inch) margin on each side, 1.5 line spacing and type in black with at least 12 point font.
- write the abstract title-centred on the page and in bold type (minimum 14 point font)
- Leave one-line space, type the authors' names, centred and underlining the presenting author, another one-line space and the full address.
- Leave a two-lines span and type the abstract.
Alternatively, please send the abstract as an attachment in Word for either PC or Macintosh to: gaskin98@vc.ehu.es.
If for some reason you are pressed and need to send the Abstract by fax, please also send the original by mail.

Cancellation and refund policy
The registration fees less a 10.000 Pts administration charge, will be refunded if cancellation is communicated by July 15. After this date, registration fees are not refundable. Refunds will be processed after the symposium is over.

The meeting will be held at the School of Economics, Universidad del País Vasco (Lehendakari Aguirre 83, Bilbao). The Sessions will commence on the morning of Sunday 6 September and will end at lunch time on Thursday 10 September.
Accommodation has been arranged at the Unamuno Hall of Residence (4 minutes' walk from the School of Economics, where the scientific sessions will be held) and the Deusto Hall (15 minutes) and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.

On the Tuesday afternoon, attendees and guests are invited to choose between one of the three different excursions (labelled A, B and C). For the visit to Laguardia, numbers are limited to 50 and places will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis.
A. Laguardia
This a mediaeval city in
the region of La Rioja (Alavesa). There are a number of interesting
prehistoric settlements in the surroundings.
The visit will finish in one of the wine caves for a snack and a drink.
B. San Sebastian
One of the celebrated summer resorts of the Bizcay bay,
very different from those of the Mediterranean coast.
A fine city in a exceptional settlement, where one can appreciate
its character and style. A snack and coffee or tea will be served.
C. Santillana del Mar
In spite of its name, it is no longer by the sea (Mar in Spanish)
but is a fine medieval village with fortified towers and
a Romanesque monastery. Nearby is the Altamira cave
that, unfortunately, we cannot visit because of preservation
regulations.
This visit will end with typical local refreshments.
Arrival to Bilbao
Most delegates are expected to arrive by air at
Bilbao Airport. Delegates should inform the conference office before
1st August of their flight details if they wish to be met
at the Airport
(taxi fares from the airport to any of the accommodation lodgings
are approximately 2200 Pts).
The shuttle bus service will be provided
on Saturday 5th and on Thuesday, 10th.
Arrival by train and bus are at the railway and bus stations indicated
in the map enclosed, and conveniently situated close by a metro station
from which all the lodgings are easily reached.
The two main entrances from the motor way (including that of the ferry
from Southampton) leading to the city centre are indicated in the map
from which you may find your way to the chosen accommodation.

Climate
The weather in Bilbao in September is usually very mild with occasional rain.
Parking
The Ercilla Hotel has parking facilities at extra charge.
The Unamuno Hall and the School of Economics
has a parking lot nearby on a coin payable basis.

for either the Deusto and Ría de Bilbao Residences
